What the Kia certification means

Kia grants this certification directly, against its own repair standards, and it is held in writing. It is not the same thing as a shop saying it 'works on' Kias — any shop can say that.

Today's Kia crossovers and sedans use high-strength steel in the areas engineered to keep the cabin intact, and those zones are designed to be replaced rather than straightened when they are damaged. Repairing them by feel instead of by procedure is how a car ends up looking straight and behaving badly in a second collision.

Every repair carries our Lifetime Written Warranty, and we are a State Farm Select Service shop that works with all major carriers. Estimates are free, and there is no obligation.

The zones designed to be replaced, not straightened

Modern Kias use high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel in the areas engineered to keep the cabin intact in a collision. Those zones are meant to deform in a controlled way once, and then be replaced — not heated, pulled and reused.

This is the single most common way a Kia repair goes wrong. Straightening a section the manufacturer specified for replacement produces a car that measures acceptably and no longer behaves the way it was designed to in a second impact. Kia publishes which areas those are and what must be done with them, and that document is what we work from.

Telluride to Forte — confirm the vehicle first

Kia's range now runs from the three-row Telluride and Carnival through the Sportage and Sorento to the K5, Forte and Soul. They are all unibody, but they are not built to a single specification, and the repair procedure is model-and-year specific.

We establish exactly what we have before quoting. One useful advantage of a high-volume brand: parts availability is generally good, so a Kia repair is less likely than a low-volume make to stall waiting on a panel from somewhere else.

Sensors, glass, and finishing the job in one building

Depending on model and year your Kia carries cameras behind the windshield and radar and sensors in the grille and bumpers, feeding forward collision warning, lane keeping and blind-spot systems. A windshield or bumper replacement disturbs them, and they have to be recalibrated to a documented specification afterward.

We handle the bodywork and the recalibration rather than sending you to a third party to finish, and we document it for your insurer. Every repair carries our lifetime written warranty, and estimates are free at either shop with no obligation.
