Question 1

My car isn't drivable after the accident — can you have it towed to your shop?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can direct a tow to Luxury Auto Body rather than to the yard your insurer suggests — you are not required to use the tow or the shop they recommend. Call (512) 986-7327 for Austin or (512) 572-5245 for Round Rock and we'll tell you exactly where to send it.

Question 2

What should I do in the first hour after a car accident in Austin?

Accepted Answer

Make sure everyone is safe and call 911 if anyone is injured. Then photograph the scene, exchange insurance and contact information, and file a police report. After that, call Luxury Auto Body at (512) 986-7327 in Austin or (512) 572-5245 in Round Rock and we'll guide you through the claim and the repair.

Question 3

What should I bring when I come in after an accident?

Accepted Answer

Your vehicle and, if you have one, your insurance claim number — that's enough to start. Luxury Auto Body will inspect the damage, document it for your insurer, and walk you through what happens next. Estimates are free at both shops, and you'll have the written estimate before any work begins.

Question 4

My insurer already sent me to a different shop — can I still come to you?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In Texas you have the legal right to choose your own repair shop. Your insurer can suggest a shop in their network, but they cannot require you to use it, and steering you away from your chosen shop is prohibited under Texas law. Luxury Auto Body works with all major insurance carriers and handles the claim directly with your insurer.

Question 5

Do I have to file a claim, or can I just pay for the repair myself?

Accepted Answer

Either works, and you'll have the numbers before deciding. Luxury Auto Body provides a free written estimate whether you're claiming or paying out of pocket, so you can weigh the repair cost against your deductible. If you do claim, we bill your insurer directly and you typically pay only your deductible at pickup.
