What the Genesis certification means
Genesis grants its collision certification against its own published repair standards. Holding it in writing means the manufacturer has accepted this shop to repair its vehicles to the specification they were built to — a shorter list than most drivers assume.
Genesis vehicles are built as luxury cars and carry the driver-assistance hardware to match: cameras and radar mounted behind glass, grilles and bumper covers that have to be recalibrated after the bodywork is finished. Skipping that step leaves a car that looks repaired and no longer sees the road the way it was engineered to.
Every repair carries our Lifetime Written Warranty, and we are a State Farm Select Service shop that works with all major carriers. Estimates are free, and there is no obligation.
A young brand, and not many shops set up for it
Genesis has only been a standalone brand in the United States since 2016, and that shows up in a practical way when you need collision work: far fewer shops hold the certification than for makes that have been here for decades. Owners routinely find that the nearest body shop has never had one on a lift.
We hold the Genesis collision certification in writing, at both shops. That means the repair follows the procedures Genesis publishes for your specific model and year — not an approximation borrowed from a related vehicle, and not a general luxury-car process.
Built as a luxury car, and judged like one
The G70, G80 and G90 sedans and the GV70 and GV80 SUVs were engineered to compete with the established German luxury makes, and they are finished to that standard. Panel gaps, paint depth and how a door sounds when it shuts are all part of what you paid for.
So we match paint to your actual panel rather than to the code alone, and blend into adjacent panels rather than stopping at a hard edge that catches the light. Depending on model and year a Genesis may also use aluminum for panels such as the hood on an otherwise steel vehicle, which requires separate tools and a separate work area to avoid the corrosion that steel dust causes on aluminum.
The sensors are the part people forget
Genesis fits a substantial driver-assistance package: cameras and radar behind the glass, grille and bumper covers. Replace a windshield or a bumper cover without recalibrating what sits behind it and the car looks repaired while reading the road from the wrong reference point.
Recalibration is a documented procedure with its own specification. We do the bodywork and the recalibration here rather than finishing the panel and sending you elsewhere, and we document it for your insurer — it is one of the line items most often left off an estimate.
