Luxury Auto Body is a State Farm Select Service shop — a formal direct repair relationship with State Farm, at both our Austin and Round Rock locations.
Select Service means your estimate is pre-approved through a process State Farm already trusts, so the claim moves faster than it would at a shop with no relationship. We bill State Farm directly, and you deal with us rather than sitting in the middle.
It does not mean State Farm chooses your shop. In Texas you choose, always — Select Service simply removes the friction once you have chosen us.

What Select Service actually changes for you
Most of what Select Service does happens before you ever notice it. Our estimate goes to State Farm through a process they already trust, which means fewer rounds of back-and-forth over line items, faster approval, and less dead time where your car sits waiting on a decision rather than on a technician.
We bill State Farm directly. In most cases the only money that changes hands with you is your deductible, paid when you pick the car up. You are not asked to front the repair and claim it back.
What it does not change: what we repair, or how. The repair follows the manufacturer's published procedure for your vehicle, and it leaves with the same lifetime written warranty every other repair here does. A faster claim is not a lighter repair.
Select Service is not the same as being told where to go
This is the part worth being clear about, because the two get confused constantly. In Texas the shop is your decision. Your insurer may suggest a shop in its network, but it cannot require you to use one, and steering you away from the shop you chose is prohibited.
So being a Select Service shop is not us being assigned your car. It is a relationship that makes the paperwork faster once you have already chosen us. If you would rather go elsewhere, that is entirely your call and State Farm still has to pay the claim.
It also does not mean State Farm is our customer. You are. When there is a disagreement about what your vehicle needs, we document it with photographs and repair procedures and argue it on your behalf.
How a State Farm claim runs here, start to finish
Open the claim with State Farm — or call us first and we will walk you through it. Bring the car in with your claim number if you have one. We inspect and photograph the damage and write the estimate.
Then disassembly, and this is where the number usually changes. Hidden damage behind a bumper cover or inside a quarter panel does not show up at the estimate, so we take the car apart, document what is actually there, and file a supplement with State Farm. A supplement is a normal part of a proper repair, not a sign something went wrong.
From there: structural repair if the vehicle needs it, panel and paint, reassembly, recalibration of any driver-assistance sensors the repair disturbed, then quality control. If your policy includes rental coverage, we coordinate that through the claim so you are not stranded.
