Direct repair relationship

A direct repair relationship means we work with Chubb regularly and bill them directly, so your claim moves without you relaying messages between a shop and an adjuster.

Chubb policies often cover higher-value and specialty vehicles. We are certified in writing by twelve manufacturers and repair to factory procedure, which is what protects both the vehicle and the claim.

Every repair leaves with our Lifetime Written Warranty, and we are certified in writing by 12 manufacturers. See our certifications.

Why the certification matters more on a Chubb claim

Chubb writes a lot of higher-value and specialty vehicles, and on those cars the difference between a correct repair and an acceptable-looking one shows up in the resale value years later. We hold twelve manufacturer certifications in writing and repair to the published procedure for your specific model and year.

That is not a sales line, it is what protects the claim. A repair done outside the manufacturer's procedure is the kind of thing that surfaces at the next sale or the next appraisal, and by then it is nobody's problem but yours.

What a direct repair relationship does and does not mean

It means we work with Chubb regularly and bill them directly, so the claim moves without you relaying messages between a shop and an adjuster. Documentation, supplements and approvals go from us to them.

It does not mean Chubb picks your shop. In Texas that is your decision, and an insurer cannot require you to use a shop in its network. If Chubb has suggested somewhere else, you can still bring the car here.

We are careful about one thing in particular: we do not have a published program name from Chubb, so we will not invent one. What we have is a working direct relationship, and that is exactly what we say.

Parts, and the conversation worth having early

On a specialty or higher-value vehicle the parts question matters more than usual. We use original manufacturer parts wherever your policy allows, and we will always tell you which parts your insurer has approved before we fit anything.

Where a policy allows aftermarket or recycled parts and we think that is the wrong call for your specific vehicle, we say so, in writing, with the manufacturer's position to back it. You can then decide — including paying the difference yourself if you want the original part and the policy will not cover it.
